CBSE has finally released the new syllabus for class 10 Information Technology subject code 402.
This year there are some major changes in the new syllabus. Some of the topics are deleted and one chapter has been changed completely.
In this post, we will be looking into the complete details of the latest IT syllabus for class 10th session 2024-25.
Our Class 10 IT Syllabus is broadly divided into 4 parts – Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D.
The Units mentioned inside Part A and Part B are those which will be accessed in the board examination 2024-25.
The board exam for IT subject is of 50 marks and rest 50 marks are awarded based on project work, portfolio and viva.
IT Code 402 Syllabus –
In Part A, we have to study 5 units –
- Communication Skills
- Self Management Skills
- ICT Skills
- Entrepreneurial Skills
- Green Skills
In Part B, we have to study 4 units –
- Digital Documentation
- Electronic Spreadsheet
- DBMS
- Maintain Health Safety and Secure Working Environment.
Talking about the major changes in Class 10 IT code 402 Syllabus –
- Implement Mail Merge topic from Digital Documentation is deleted.
- In Unit 3, there is a specific mention that we have to use LibreOffice software.
- Unit 4 which earlier used to be Web-Application and Security, has now changed and now we have to study the unit – Maintain Health, Safety and Secure Working Environment.
